Nicht nur als TikTok, Reel oder Youtube-Shorts ist das Kurzformat in Serie sehr beliebt. Durch eine Reihe von einzelnen Mini-Episoden entwickeln Filmemacher:innen komplexe Storylines und ausgearbeitete Charaktere. Ihnen gelingt es, den endlosen Scroll-Stream für cleveres Filmemachen zu nutzen. Das machen wir auch! Wir entwickeln unsere eigenen Kurzformate: Charaktere, Stories und World-Building und nehmen sämtliche Onlineplattformen im Sturm.

Und ganz nebenbei erlernen wir die Grundlagen der Animation: Zeichentrick, Motion-Design, digitale und analoge Techniken, Methoden, Entwurf, Vorvisualisierung, Storyboards, Styleframes, Styleboards, Timing, Rhythmus, Frame-by-frame, Keyframe, Rigging, Easing, Sound, 3D, 2D, 2einhalbD und die gefürchtete Subkomposition.

The Basics of animation: Short & Sweet

The short format as a series is not only very popular as TikTok, Reel or Youtube shorts. Through a series of individual mini-episodes, filmmakers develop complex storylines and fleshed-out characters. They manage to use the endless scrolling stream for clever filmmaking. We will do that too! We will develop our own short formats: characters, stories and world building and take all online platforms by storm.

And along the way we’ll learn the basics of animation: motion design, digital and analog techniques, methods, design, pre-visualization, storyboards, style-frames, style-boards, timing, rhythm, frame-by-frame, keyframe, rigging, easing, sound, 3D, 2D, 2½D and the dreaded subcomposition.
