The construction of image in staged photography
The Lviv National Academy of Arts (LNAA) is one of the leading art educational institutions in Ukraine. It was officially founded in 1946 based on the Lviv Art and Industrial School, where professional art education had been developing since 1876.The main focus in education covers a broad spectrum of programes and courses, including various traditional arts, contemporary art, and design, as well as courses in art history, cultural studies, and art management. Since spring 2025 the Fakultät Gestaltung/THWS has an exchange agreement with the LNAA.
Alina Kindiak is a Ukrainian photographer, illustrator, designer, and visual artist. She teaches photography at the Lviv National Academy of Arts and is a Gaude Polonia fellow. Her work exists at the intersection of commercial photography and art, where she seeks to create synergy between the two. For the past three years, she has been pursuing a Doctor of Arts degree, focusing her research on the construction of image in staged photography.
Das Museum im Kulturspeicher vertieft mit der Ausstellung „EMBODIMENT – Lviv National Academy of Arts (Ukraine)“ (MiK) die Städtepartnerschaft zwischen Würzburg und Lviv im Bereich des Kulturaustauschs. In Zusammenarbeit mit der renommierten Lviv National Academy of Arts zeigt das MiK vom 5. Juli bis 2. November 2025 insgesamt 15 Gemälde junger ukrainischer Künstler*innen.
