The Communication Design course integrates disciplines such as graphic design, typography, moving image, illustration, photography, interactive media, object design and spatial design in an overarching conceptual approach. In the foundation course, you will learn all the important basics, have the opportunity to try out new fields and discover your strengths. As you progress, you will deepen your knowledge in project work of your own choice. You decide whether to work in an interdisciplinary network or to specialize in one discipline. You can develop the projects both in teamwork and independently.

Design as an attitude

How can we find effective, positive and sustainable solutions through design? How can design make social challenges visible? What role does design play in business, culture and education? With us, you will learn to develop design processes practically and reflect on them theoretically in order to find your own point of view. Together, we will sharpen our focus on relevant topics and future developments. We take a critical and creative look at the opportunities and challenges of current technologies and AI and develop skills that will be relevant tomorrow.

Our degree course enables you to develop your individual profile in the field of communication design – specialized or interdisciplinary.
