Exhibition of the foundation class of three-dimensional and spatial design

Spatial thinking is an important skill for communication designers. In the foundation seminar Surface – Body – Space, first-semester students are introduced to the complex field of three-dimensional and spatial design. Using examples from art and design, various connections for the students own practice are analysed. Practical exercises in paper enable students to familiarise themselves with object-related and spatial form finding. The aim of the semester is to develop a three-dimensional composition from a two-dimensional surface. The exhibition shows the models and photographic staging that the students have developed in teams.
