In this course, we view limitations not as obstacles, but as creative tools and the driving force behind something extraordinary. With curiosity, craftsmanship, and self-imposed boundaries, we explore new visual possibilities.

How We Work

We start with an object that fascinates, unsettles, or impresses—or tells a story that isn’t immediately apparent. We then stage the chosen object in three different ways, each time following a different set of visual rules: only one color, only one tool, only certain shapes, only thirty minutes, etc. The result is open-ended: a stamp, a poster, a logo, an infographic, or an animation. What matters is that the design takes up the object (or a specific aspect of it) and translates it into an independent visual form. Then the next round begins. New object, new rules. Three times three.

What It’s About

It’s about finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. It’s about the visual experiment as a method, not as a coincidence. We learn to look closely, to consciously apply design rules, and to develop diversity from limitations.
