The terms “philosophy” and “workshop” seem to be opposites. But perhaps that is precisely why they complement each other so well.

Philosophizing is a reflection on the world, combined with an attempt to understand this world within its broader contexts. However, philosophical concepts and models are not set in stone once and for all. They must be continually reworked and refined.

And the understanding gained in this way is of little or no use without an idea that provides meaning and value, so that these insights can actually be applied.

In this course, we want to debate, discuss, and engage in lively exchange. Above all, however, we want to work together to develop as much practical value as possible for your projects.

We view this as a professional experiment. We expect you to bring curiosity and an openness to new ways of thinking. You can expect enthusiasm and the courage to embrace new ideas from us; above all, however, we want to welcome the unexpected.

The event is open to everyone—regardless of which semester you’re in or whether you’re pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
