Photography I (B)
Basics of Fine Art Photography I
Basics of fine art photography introduce students to formal and experimental work with the medium of the image. This is based on an expanded concept of the image that goes beyond photography and includes analog, digital and immaterial image forms as well as reflection on the history and present of our image culture. The focus is on experimental design with light, material and space as composition, conceptual image series, portrait photography and experimental still life. Students learn about avant-garde approaches and other movements from the history of photography and, building on this, develop their own modes of expression with the photographic image.
