Image workshop: Presentation formats
Book, exhibition, print, laminating
This TP block week focuses on testing presentation formats for visual projects, especially photographs – but other visual media are also welcome. The aim is to provide both practical and theoretical insight into different forms of image presentation, including photo books, exhibitions, image printing, laminating and framing, and to guide you in developing your own presentation concepts.
Have you completed a visual arts project and would like to present it in the form of a small exhibition, a print, a book or a zine? Would you like to try something new and at the same time learn about the possibilities and formats available for presenting images?
During this week, you will learn about and try out different presentation formats – from books to exhibitions and prints to laminating and framing. You will develop your own small photo book and exhibition concept and implement it as a model. In addition, you will acquire practical knowledge in sequencing, layout, print preparation and materials science. You will also reflect on presentation strategies for artistic positions in a contemporary context.
There is the opportunity to further develop your own project beyond the TP and try it out in a small experimental Changeover exhibition opening in a room during the semester.
The TP Presentation Formats is particularly recommended as a supplement to the Open Class course.
