In his work, Marcus Kaiser examines the medium of the image in its historical, philosophical, cultural and social contexts. The focus is on exploring the concept of the image in everyday life and the visual arts. He is concerned with verifying various forms and structures of images, differentiating them and examining their pictoriality and their effect on the individual and society. His goals are to gain knowledge in researching and deconstructing media-specific properties and dispositifs of image techniques in order to better understand their mode of action as a prerequisite for the emergence of forms of ideology and difference.
