Prof. Claudia Frey

Spatial design, exhibition design, 3D fundamentals

Claudia Frey studied visual communication at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Schwäbisch Gmünd from 1993 to 1997. After graduating she worked as a project director in exhibition design.

In 1999 she received a DAAD scholarship, studied theatre design at Zurich University of the Arts, followed by a post-graduate year in 2000. In the same year Claudia Frey became managing partner in the Bertron Schwarz Frey office for museography and exhibition design. She has designed numerous exhibitions and museum guidance systems, and with her partners has published exhibition design – ausstellungen entwerfen (2006) and Projektfeld Ausstellung (2011).

From 2007 to 2010 she taught exhibition conception at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd. In 2010 she was appointed professor of spatial desgin at the Design Faculty of the Universtiy of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.
