INSANITY
There is often only a thin wall between madness and sanity (Gyro Gearloose).
What is normal? What is too much? What is enough? We seem to need more and more, to want to be faster and faster, more and more extreme, in order to be satisfied, to feel real.
This event is about extremes, but not from an abstract perspective, rather with a focus on the people—including ourselves—who seek extremes to give meaning to their lives, to distinguish themselves from others. We look at the small world of the individual and at the big, global issues that race through the media at ever-increasing speeds.
The event is about making visible, exposing the seemingly normal, the things we are becoming more and more accustomed to and no longer question: Is this right?
The aim is to take a critical look, but not to point the moral finger. We also want to push boundaries in our design work: How far can and do we want to go? You are free to choose the medium for your project.
