Explain to me …

Explain with illustrations.

The world confronts us with change, multiple crises and complex problems whose solutions threaten to overwhelm us. But perhaps things are not always as complicated as they seem? Perhaps we simply lack good explanations?

In this course, we create images that explain. We deal with the communicative content of illustrative representation. We depict connections, show processes and make relationships visible. We seek a form of communication that provides access to complex situations, problems, but also to our emotions. A visual communication that offers an aesthetic experience and creates an emotional form of engagement.

The target audience we address and the medium in which our images appear are freely selectable. We experiment with different forms and techniques of representation. In addition to conveying information, this course focuses on the search for an individual and appropriate visual language. In doing so, we go through the entire process of illustrative project work.
