Bildwerkstatt: Präsentationsformate

Dieses technische Praktikum richtet sich vor allem an Studierende in höheren Semestern, die bildnerische Projekte realisiert haben und nun überlegen, wie und in welchen verschiedenen Formaten man diese präsentieren kann.

Jede/r Studierende bringt zu Beginn seine eigenen Bildprojekte und -archive mit und formuliert ein individuelles Ziel, das sie/er für sich im Rahmen des TP erreichen möchte. Z.B. die Erstellung eines Portfolios, die Ausarbeitung einer Ausstellung, die Realisierung eines Fotobuchs u.v.m. Während das individuelle Anliegen sukzessive umgesetzt wird, erarbeiten wir uns in der Gruppe eine Bandbreite an Präsentationsmöglichkeiten von Fotografien, darunter das Portfolio, das Buch, die Ausstellung.

Uns beschäftigen dabei die folgenden Fragen: Wie sehen interessante Fotobücher aus und wie kann ich mir selbst einen Buch-Dummie erstellen? Wie lege ich eine Abfolge von Bildern in einer langen oder kurzen Bildstrecke fest? Wie legt man ein Portfolio an? Worauf kann man drucken und welche Bindungsarten gibt es? Wie konzipiere ich eine Ausstellung, wie baue ich ein Modell dazu und wie kann ich Bilder an einer Wand anordnen ? Worauf kann ich Bilder drucken und kaschieren, wie kann ich sie rahmen? Wie müssen meine Bilder bearbeitet sein, damit sie optimal präsentiert werden? Wir arbeiten im Rahmen des TP in der neuen Bildwerkstatt im Raum I.1.22 und lernen insbesondere auch den Umgang mit dem Laminator, um Fotografien zur Präsentation auf Untergründe zu kaschieren.

This technical internship is primarily aimed at students in higher semesters who have realized visual projects and are now considering how and in what different formats to present them.

At the beginning, each student brings his/her own visual projects and archives and formulates an individual goal that he/she would like to achieve for him/herself within the framework of the TP. For example, the creation of a portfolio, the development of an exhibition, the realization of a photo book, and much more. While the individual concern is successively implemented, we work out in the group a range of presentation possibilities of photographs, including the portfolio, the book, the exhibition.

We are concerned with the following questions: What do interesting photo books look like and how can I create a book dummy for myself? How do I create a sequence of images in a long or short picture series? How do I create a portfolio? What can I print on and what types of binding are there? How do I design an exhibition, how do I build a model for it and how can I arrange images on a wall ? What can I print and laminate pictures on, how can I frame them? How do my pictures have to be processed so that they are presented in the best possible way? We will work in the TP in the new picture workshop in room I.1.22 and in particular learn how to use the laminator to laminate photographs to substrates for presentation.
